About the Class
Immerse yourself in the ancient wisdom of the Gayatri mantra, one of the oldest and most powerful Sanskrit mantras. It is believed that by chanting the Gayatri mantra and firmly establishing it in the mind, your life will be filled with happiness as you carry out your ordained work.
The word "Gayatri" itself holds the key to the mantra's essence. Originating from the Sanskrit phrase Gayantam Triyate iti, it refers to the mantra that rescues the chanter from all adverse situations that may lead to mortality.
Goddess Gayatri, also known as "Veda-Mata" or Mother of the Vedas, is revered as the basis of the Rig, Yajur, Saam, and Atharva Vedas. She embodies the reality behind the experienced and cognized universe.
We will go over the pronunciation of the mantra a few times before beginning the ritual.
