Meditative Musicianship Masterclass with Josh Brill

 

In this masterclass you’ll learn the principles of playing music as a meditative and sound healing practice. Using the 7 primary notes and their intervallic relationships as our foundation, we’ll explore sound as a means to tune our inner and outer awareness. Specifically learning how to use specific notes, harmonies, rhythms, and tempos as your pathway to induce the meditative state with music.

We will cover:

~What makes music meditative ~How to play music to induce the meditative trance state ~How to take people on a meditative musical journey ~The cosmic octave and the 7 notes of the major scale ~The vibrational science of how different musical notes change our internal state

Meet the Facilitator: Josh Brill

 

Josh Brill is a master musician, teacher, and founder of Yoga of Guitar/Ukulele who uses sound, music, and mindfulness as a therapeutic practice to help tune people into a more harmonious state of presence. Before Yoga of Guitar/Ukulele, Josh worked many years as professional musician/producer as well as a former instructor at Berklee College of Music and Triton College. After a successful career as a touring musician and college instructor, Josh now teaches people how to develop a deeper relationship with music using music as a mindfulness meditation practice.
